  1. i5 for gaming, Ryzen for other stuff + gaming. Really awesome seeing the gaming gap get smaller and smaller. Really excited to see what Zen 2 does. Get ready folks, it could be like the Athlon 64 days.

  2. I am here to see performance of 2600 idc about 8600

  3. Ryzen 1600 vs i5 8400 with budget GPU if you can 🙂

  4. nearly the same fps in gaming, but i will go with ryzen because of other stuff

  5. Bang for buck. I'll wait for Zen 2 7nm processors to get the big jump from my i5 4590.

  6. Well, this is kinda unfair cuz the i5 8600 is the upgraded version, meanwhile r5 2600 is an non-upgraded version. To be true, compare r5 2600x with i5 8600 is more fair.

  7. In b4 people complains its not tested at 720p Low, just face it. Cinebench and everything else shows it, it's a matter of optimization and when AMD starts to get optimized in the same level of Intel compilers, it'll be all even if not better. Latency is getting reduced every nodes and we clearly saw that IPC wise they are fairly equal. Even if AMD XFR2 is better than Intel Turbo Boost on all cores, it shows AMD efficiency.

Intel may do better at 720p Low in certain benchmarks, but those results are due to how mature and optimized the architechture is software wise throughout the years, those FPS gaps are fairly small if you do the math in percentage. There's no reason to not go AMD anymore. Even if Intel can feed a 1080ti or future GPUs a bit more, it would take years to make that deficit show on AMD and it still remains small anyway since neither Intel and AMD can fully feed a 1080ti at 720p Low. Remember, 720p Low tests optimization, not CPU entirely. It has to be 720p Ultra to test properly how CPU heavy settings are handled.
